Mobile World Congress 2012

Phaesun looks back on a successful participation at the world's largest trade fair for telecommunication. 
The GSMA’s industry-defining event, Mobile World Congress, again shattered attendance records as more than 67,000 visitors from 205 countries participated in the event. The Mobile World Congress was hosted in Barcelona. International exhibitors showcased innovative products, inspiring presentations at the conference and the framework programme accomplished the event. Phaesun presented technologies for Off-Grid power supply for telecommunication installations.

Michel Mansard, managing director of Phaesun France SAS and expert for Off-Grid telecom installations participated in the MWC conference, representing the Alliance for Rural Electrification. In his presentation he focussed on the fast extension of telecom networks in developing countries especially in Africa. Often telecom installations are located in areas far from the electricity grid. In many cases PV Off-Grid systems offer a unique opportunity for a reliable power supply for remote telecom sites.
