Highest quality standards attested!
Phaesun has been awarded the Bayerische Qualitätspreis (Bavarian
Quality Award) in the category „trade“! The team proudly accepted
the award at the award ceremony celebrated in the Residenz München (ancient
castle and former royal residence in Munich, Bavaria) on 17.03.2015.
The State Ministry for Economic Affairs and Media, Energy and
Technology attested Phaesun extraordinary results in all quality
categories.
Phaesun continually works on the improvement of all business
processes while each individual team member is responsible for the
quality of their individual workflow since high quality standards
can be only achieved if everyone works on a self-responsible basis.
Mistakes are not concealed, but serve as "Phailures" as means to
achieve improvement on the basis of insight.
Phaesun Quality Manager Dominik Eger has constantly been advancing
the quality management during the past few years and extensively
documented this process for the application for the Bavarian Quality
Award. He reports: “This important award shows us that we are on the
right track! It is our target to win the European Quality Award by
2020!”

"Vegetables for 4000 children in Havanna"
This is the title of an important project for solar water supply
initiated by the non-profit association Karen e.V. aiming at a
reliable water supply for Cuban peasant farmers. By means of solar
pumping systems and the promotion of the local cultivation of fruit
and vegetables the food supply for children also in the
Cuban capital shall be improved.
Phaesun technician Jürgen Grosser supported the local technicians’
organisation ACTAF and the company of Copextel with the project
start at the beginning of March and the installation of the first
solar water pumping systems. Karen e.V. has been active in Cuba for
many years and attaches great importance to a collaborative planning
and realisation of the project development with renewable energies.
Karen already plans a new major project to supply more than 100
families in the mountains of the Artemisa province with electricity.

International ARE Energy Access Workshop
Lively discussions, exciting topics and interesting guests from all
over the world contributed to a great networking event. At the start of the
general meeting on 05.03.2015, the Alliance for Rural Electrification
(ARE) has organised a workshop in Madrid for the second time which
dealt with rural electrification by means of renewable energies. The
objective is to promote this subject even further for the broad
public and decision makers from politics and economy. As a member of
the ARE Managing Board, Tobias Zwirner presented the subject "Be
your own BOSS: Productive Use of Energy" to a panel of experts for
