Review
Hamburg Boat Show:
This year's Hamburg Boat Show from 23.10 - 27.10
again found a lot of interest with a well informed
audience. This year there were about 27,500 visitors and
the number of exhibitors had increased to 300. The
unanimous tenor was again and again that it does not go
without boat fair in Hamburg. Over 200 boats were
presented to the public, the accessories area was even
more strongly represented. The trend is still towards
flexible and semi-flexible modules. The demand for wind
generators from Silentwind was also impressive. We are
looking forward to a hopefully even bigger Hamburg Boat
Show from 21.10.-25.10.2020.

lab30:
The
18th Augsburg Art Laboratory: lab30 took place at
the end of October under the motto "Sound Art
Experiments". The festival in Augsburg sees itself
as a meeting place for local, regional and
international artists* from all areas of media
art. It offers a platform for art and technology
experiments that take account of our fast-moving
times, playfully use new media, broaden our
perspectives and invite us to interpret and
reinterpret deadlocked modes of reception. Here is
a little insight from a beautiful evening. |

Delegation visit from Peru and Colombia:
In mid-October we had a South American delegation
from Peru and Colombia as guests. The group of the
Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale
Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH was on a technology tour
about solar energy.
A company presentation, a company tour and a lecture
on the topic: Solar cooling systems for agriculture
rounded off the visit.

Aachen Water Technology Conference:
At
the end of October Florian gave a presentation about
REvivED at the Aachener Tagung Wassertechnologie
2019 (ATW). For years, this conference has been
characterised by a strong presence of experts from
the fields of process engineering, water management
administration and the operation of water treatment
and waste water treatment plants. Reflection on the
current state of research, science and technology is
the main focus of the conference. |

Project in Cameroon Mbalmayo:
The team completed
the installation of the solar street lamps.
The aim of the solar street lighting in
Mbalmayo, Cameroon, is to improve the quality
of life for the population. Because light
increases safety in public spaces, leads to a
more lively social environment in the evening
hours and ultimately improves the turnover of
small businesses in the city.
With the completion of the first stage of the
project, 32 out of a total of 125 modern
solar-powered street lamps planned, are now
installed in the neighbourhoods and
functioning perfectly.

Since 11.11 we have a
new team member. Christian is training with us
to become an office management clerk. Welcome
and a good start!

Aquatech
Trade Fair Amsterdam:
The
RevivED Team met for the planning of the final
project phase at Aquatech Trade Fair in Amsterdam.
Within the RevivED water project Phaesun is
involved in the development of solar driven
desalination systems. The latest system generation
is demonstrated at Aquatech and will be installed
in Tanzania afterwards!

SMA Training:
Thomas was at the
beginning of November at SMA Solar Technology
for training. The contents were:
- Component exchange for SMA inverters type
Sunny Island -12, Core1 and Tripower -30
- Safety rules during component replacement
- Functions of the individual components and
interfaces
- troubleshooting
This means that he can now perform the component
exchange for the SMA inverters mentioned above.

BFZ Training:
The vocational training
centre of the Bavarian Economy (bfz) trains
national and international vocational school
teachers in the field of off-grid energy supply
based on photovoltaic off-grid systems at the
Ecological Training Centre in Wildpolsried/Allgäu.
The training courses take place over a period of
one week at a very high level. Phaesun is
enthusiastic about the training quality and is
pleased about this close partnership.
