UNDP Water Project Pakistan

Project description

The project aims to improve the water supply in flood-effected areas in twelve districts all over Pakistan. All in all 200 solar water pumping systems were installed to provide thousands of families and animals with clean and safe drinking water. This will save energy of thousand of women that would have been used collecting unsafe drinking water from kilometers away and will improve health of thousands of vulnerable women and children that have been exposed to water borne diseases.

The project was initiated and financed by UNDP. Phaesun was involved in the system sizing and delivered all equipment for the solar systems and the pipes. The faciliation in Pakistan and the installation was done in cooperation with the local company Izhar Energy.
