Oil and Gas Industry

In the oil and gas industry Off-Grid PV systems are often used for cathodic protection. In order to protect exposed equipment from corrosion, the power system consists in providing DC current to the metal pipeline, storage tanks, bridges and other exposed equipment.

Our solar systems are designed using the internationally recognised NSol sizing programme. Based on the location, the most appropriate environmental data is identified. System performance is then modelled, taking into account the working temperature, voltage, battery efficiency, system losses and derating factors.
