Al Jones Blues Band

After the American Blues was brought to Germany in the 60's by the American Folk Blues Festival, Al Jones was the man of the first hour who popularized the American Blues in Germany. People have always associated the name "Al Jones" with blues. For blues musicians and blues lovers, Al Jones laid the foundation for German-American blues history. Mufuti Twins & the three drummers

The Mufuti Twins come back live on stage - this time with a whole bunch of new songs. Double bass, harp, tenor guitar and vocals - and no less than three drummers! But not all three drummers will play at the same time, because the drummers also play a variety of other instruments such as Wurlitzer, guitar, vibraphone and percussion. So there is always something going on on stage. You can hear the fondness for old soul and Alabama grooves clearly - they play songs that could have been written during a road trip at a highway gas station with lyrics that were definitely written at some highway gas station: Wistfulness and Euphoria, Dust and Longing and Holes in the Soles of Your Shoes.

Christofer Kochs, Tenorgit., Vox, Harp
Uli Fiedler: Bass & Kontrabass, Vox
Harry Cane: Drums, Vibraphon,
Percussion, Vox
Tobi Wiedenmann: Drums, Wurlitzer, Vox, Percussion
Tom Kroiss: Drums, Gitarre, Percussion

Pamuzinda

The twinning between Harare and Munich gave the impetus for Zimbabweans living in Munich, including a Pamuzinda member, to come together with other musicians to form a partner group "Pamuzinda Munich". The motivation was to show, besides all the negative headlines about Zimbabwe like HIV/AIDS, mismanagement and corruption, dictatorship and political violence, poverty and cholera, also the positive sides of a living culture: the wonderful music with the manifold instruments, the traditional songs and dances, the many stories to tell.
