Solar
cooling in Kenya:
As
part of the "Powering Agriculture" initiative, we were
able to take important steps in the field of solar
cooling in Kenya together with the Universität
Hohenheim and Solar Cooling Engineering.
We are pleased that we can now build on this with the
developpp project "PV Cool Kenya". In the next two
years we will install demonstration plants for cooling
agricultural products in Kenya!

Solarbike:
A first successful test is done. Julien built a
solar bike for the project The Sun Trip using our
SunPower SPR-E-Flex modules.
Thanks to the solar panels, he drove 130 km in one day
with 1000 meters of altitude, headwind and complete
camping equipment. This wouldn't have been possible
without the solar support!
The project continues with a build-up of a second module
on the bike. We'll keep you posted.

The smarter E podcast:
The
smarter E podcast, has been available on various
channels since the end of May. It's a podcast for
and with the makers of the new energy world. The
episodes have an average of almost 1.000 listeners
per edition and appear weekly in German and English.

Phaesun innovation
managers:
In
the context of the InnoDiZ project, Innovation
Management in the Digital Age, Sabine, Markus
and Valentin completed their further training as
innovation managers. Congratulations!
InnoDiZ is a 36-month research project between
the years 2019 and 2021, which is carried out
together with the IMU from Augsburg and other
project partners. |

"Best-Practice Training Centre":
For
a new project: "Best-Practice Training Centre"
for PV hybrid systems, Phaesun provided the
technical planning for the system, an
installation briefing and on-site installation
supervision on the roof.
The foundation stone for the project has now
been laid, the PV system has been built on top
of a 199-year-old half-timbered house. After
completion (probably in 2022 - when the house
will be 200 years old!), customers from all
over the world will be able to receive
practical training and education "live" on a
system. Furthermore, it is to be shown that an
old house can be renovated energetically in
such a way that it becomes independent of an
external energy supply!
The 18.72 PV system currently has 9.72kWp (27
Phaesun solar modules 360Wp) connected to an
SMA STP10000TL. As soon as the chimney is
gone, the south roof will be extended by
another nine Phaesun solar modules a` 360Wp
and connected to a SMA STP5000TL.
Currently, the north roof is still being
equipped with 12 Phaesun modules and connected
to another STP5000TL. Further steps will
follow, depending on further construction and
building renovation and expansion.
