Phaesun Middle East: Subsidiary opens in Dubai
After the set up of a decentralized sales
office in West Africa in 2014, Phaesun is now announcing the opening
of Phaesun Middle East (PNME), a fully owned subsidiary based in
Dubai/United Arab Emirates. With the foundation of the new
subsidiary, the Phaesun-group extends its Off-Grid activities in the
MENA-region. After having realised many successful projects in this
region, Phaesun now extends its distribution network for components
such as solar modules, electronics and batteries with this
subsidiary.
In addition to the United Arab Emirates and their neighbouring
countries, the subsidiary in Dubai can also supply Northern Africa.
Francis Hillman, one of the founder members of Phaesun GmbH has been
appointed Managing Director. He reports. "The new subsidiary enables
us to get in closer contact with our customers. The use of renewable
energies has increasingly been focussed on also in the MENA-region,
both with private households and industrial projects.” Francis
Hillman has been working for decades in Africa and the Middle East
in the Off-Grid field with PV and is now looking forward to his new

| Off-Grid Connect
System
in Gabon
In case of power failures, or in case of too high diesel generator
operation, the Off-Grid Connect (OGC) systems power up, ensuring
that important electrical loads are operated without interruption.
OGC is a system designed to make users step-by-step independent from
the grid or diesel generators. In 2013, Phaesun, in collaboration with
Projets Sans Frontières (PSF) has completed an Off-Grid Connect
system with a 26 kWp solar generator for a villa in La Pointe Denis,
Gabon. This system has been upgraded in 2015 to a 38 kWp
system. It is now supplying household appliances, lighting and
security system, enabling the private individual to live at least
partly independent from the diesel generator in the island of Pointe
Denis off the coast of Libreville. See the pics of the system on our

Phaesun-shipment reaches Eritrean villages
"The village community of the Northern Eritrean municipal of Qnafna
is celebrating the arrival of the solar equipment with an exuberant
party”. This is how the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
describes what happened when the components for PV systems for more
than 300 families in Eritrean villages were delivered. Phaesun won
the bid for the delivery in 2014, now the systems have reached the
villages in the remote regions of Eritrea which hitherto had no
access to electricity. The installation of the systems is supposed
to be completed by the end of this year. These emotional moments are
